Sound and Music healing is a form of therapy that is
helping many people who need to be alright with the ailments that have stopped
them to live their lives as they were living earlier, even though taking all
the medicines still sometimes we feel that we have not recovered completely and
that is the time we require something more than just medicines. Here is the
time when alternate therapy plays an important role in a patient’s life to make
him recover from the ailment.
There exists many a therapy that are proving to be
beneficial now, during the treatment and helping people to change and live
happily. One of them is surely Sound Therapy and Music Therapy that helps in
many ways and solves many aliments in its own way.
Everyone will agree to this that hearing some sounds and/or
music, we do observe some change in us. If we hear some haunting sounds we feel
afraid and if we hear some soothing music we are joyful. This brings in the fundamental
of the sound therapy that helps the therapist as well as the patient to receive
and give the sound therapy to its best.
When we are hearing to a bhajan our heads automatically
swings with the song and the music that is played, but when we hear a rocking
song, then our whole body starts dancing to the tune. This is the time when I would
say that we are taking a ‘Sound Bath’. When our mind our body and our soul all
the three connect to each other with that sound we are receiving the sound
therapy aptly.
20 minutes is a very perfect time to be in the receiving
stage to get the sound bath. It is up to the therapist to understand the
problem of the patient, and which type of sound therapy is to be given for those
20 minutes. It can also include other therapies along with sound therapy to
make it more beneficial and effective. There are some aliments that can be
healing in one sitting but in some cases more sittings would be required.
